Being a Financial Service Consultant with AIA between 1997 till 2003

My career is not a smooth sailing one. It took me 17 months to pass my Qualifying Tests and the necessary insurance licensing examinations. I was contracted on 7th April 1997 during the Asia currency crisis. I achieved the Rising Star Award in my first year with AIA in 1997. When the economic crisis got worse, my performance got better and I achieved the Million Dollar Club Award in 1998, Premier Agent Club Award in 1999 and Centurion Club Award for 4 consecutive years in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. This is because I realized that when there is a crisis, there is more need for insurance.

I always believe in giving my 100% in whatever I do and whenever I am advising my client on their insurance needs. I work very hard everyday. My focus is to help more families secure and maintain their current lifestyle when crisis strikes their family. In this noble and rewarding career, the more people you help, more good jobs are done, the more we are rewarded and the more satisfaction we get.

Most of my clients in the first year were obtained through cold calling. Many of these clients regard me as more than just an agent. They were concerned with my busy schedule and health. They provided me with referrals and wants to see me succeed in this business. Now, I have more than a thousand clients after years of hard work and managed to qualify for the most prestigious Centurion Club Award in AIA in year 2000 to 2003. I am appreciative and touched by my existing clients' support and am glad to be able to share with them consistently my Vision and Goal.

I never dreamt that I could become a professional life insurance practitioner. It was my agency leader and colleagues who helped me to achieve a dream that I had never dared to imagine in the past. Their constant care and concern sustained me throughout my years with AIA. They are my family and friends, more that just colleagues and I have made up my mind that I will not let them down. Over the years, I realized that I have grown in terms of personality, my perception of the concept of family and meaning of financial freedom. More importantly, I am able to apply them to impact the lives of my clients in a positive way. As a financial services consultant, we must be Honest, Ethical, Professional and Sincere to our clients.

I have enjoyed a challenging career since I joined AIA. I was given an opportunity to join the insurance industry back in 1997. Today, I would like to offer the same opportunity to others and help them make their dream a reality.

My goal is to train a team of professionals with a passion in the insurance industry. By providing professional financial advice, we hope to help our clients meet and achieve their financial objectives. For our team of Financial Services Consultants, we also strive to equip them with the means to give their family members their desired lifestyle and achieve personal growth by taking on this career.
